Dust Of Snow By Robert Frost - Summary and Question answers

 The presented poetry piece “DUST OF SNOW” been composed by Robert frost. The poet has described a particular moment of his life which seems very simple but it has a great significance. The poet has made us clear that sometimes when one feels depressed, some little thing changes the mood.
The poem can be summarised in following ways-
State of depression:- the poet says that once he was standing under a hemlock tree. He was feeling depressed and hopeless. Suddenly a crow shook down the dust of snow on him.
Pleasing mood:- the little event changed the mood of the poet. His feet that it had saved the remaining part of the day. So he decided to enjoy the life afterwards.
The poem “dust of snowhas been composed by Robert frost .it presents a particular moment of poet’s life. It seems very simple but it has great significance. The poet was depressed and hopeless. dust of snow:- It means that powder of snow which has been created by the crow when it shook on an ice laden with snow.
*A hemlock tree:- It is a poisonous tree with white flowers. It is not very beautiful. The poet has described the because he believes that every aspect of nature is beautiful.

ANS:- “DUST OF SNOW” means the powder of snow which has been created by the crow when it shook down an ice laden with snow.
The sudden shower in the form of the dust of snow has changed his mood. The poet   becomes happy for the rest of the day.

 ANS:- The crow and hemlock represent sorrow. It shows that the poet was feeling depressed and hopeless.
The dust of snow that the crow shakes off a hemlock tree stands for joy. The simple incident changes his mood and he becomes happy for the rest of the day.

Ans:-I find following differences between Robert frost and other nature poets:-
Firstly all nature poets describe the well-known beautiful things. They described the nightingale, the cuckoo, the snow covered mountains etc. But Robert frost has described a crow and a hemlock tree. Secondly poets make selection from natural things but Frost feels that every   object in nature is beautiful. Such unique thought has made him different.
